The incident of  “International Burn a Koran Day” has become a worldwide issue. Serious condemnation has mounted, and it Afghanistan, two people had died in a demonstration regrading this matter. Yet, we should understand before criticizing any religion as a whole, that every religion has people who stands on the extreme side. We shouldn’t let ourselves cognize without critical thinking that Terry Jones, the pastor, is the representative of Christianity, nor we should see al Qaeda as the whole picture of Islam. Of course, the act of burning Korans, a holy book of Islam, is a disrepectful and offensive act that shouldn’t be spread out. Although it consisted of serious messages and had a purpose, desecration of a religion that stands basted on certain people should be respected at least with a manner. Yet, considering the power of media and noticing its characteristic of  “exaggeration” and “one-sided” traits, we should recognize this issue in a broader perspective, thereby not just blaming Christianity as a whole.
